We aren’t able to come during your posted hours. Are you able to open earlier than 2pm on weekdays or 12 noon on weekends?
Sure! Due to operating costs, we have had to shorten our hours, but if your group of 5 or more would like to play earlier in the day, please give us a call (during business hours or stop in to see us to make arrangements.)
You’re on the lake. Can I come by boat?
Absolutely, please use our dock. And you’re welcome to stay after your game for dinner at Jay’s Lakeside or a swim at the state campground.
Do you have any giveaways?
Two of them, actually. Get a hole in one on No. 1 and you’ll get a free game pass. Get a hole in one on No. 18 and you’ll get a free snack of your choice!
Can we have a picnic?
Unless a party is going on, you’re welcome to use our picnic area, but please don’t take food or drinks onto the course.
What happens if we’re rained out?
We’ll stamp your card with “Raincheck” and you and your group can come finish your game anytime.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, but dogs aren’t permitted on the course, even if they’re leashed.
What happened to the pine tree on hole No. 4?
Half of it fell in August 2006, taking out a small spruce tree at the same time. The rest of it fell over that winter, and now it’s just a memory… and a stump for kids to stand on.
Can I use my own putter and golf ball?
Yes to the putter; NO to the golf ball. Our golf balls float and your’s do not! Too many sunken golf balls interfere with the pumps at the bottom of the ponds.
Why can’t we smoke, it’s not inside?
Our property is COVERED with dry pine needles and for the safety of all guests, we must enforce our “absolutely NO smoking” rule!
Why don’t you take credit cards?
Although it is inconvenient, and we apologize; we are open for such a short time that it would not be cost-effective for us to maintain a program for allowing credit card use.
What’s your cat’s name and can we pet it?
*SIGH* We don’t have a cat! It answers to “kitty, kitty, kitty” but we would like to discourage our guests from petting it.
What kind of animal is making all that noise at night?
Those are mostly American Toads you hear chirping at dusk. There are a few other frogs in the area .. nature in concert
